Rosetta Stone Language Program
Rosetta Stone’s interactive learning program uses a combination of sounds, images, and text in each online exercise so students can systematically build words into sentences… and sentences into conversations. There's no translation or rote memorization so students can actually learn to think in their new language.

What Learn a Second (or Third) Language?
The lack of foreign language knowledge puts English speakers at a disadvantage. If your business career involves contact with speakers of foreign languages, communicating with them in their own tongue will increase your ability to:

Knowledge of foreign languages can only increase your chances of finding a new global job, being promoted or transferred overseas, or being selected for company business trips abroad.
If you plan to participate in the Study Abroad Program and attend a foreign university, it will help to acquire a good introductory knowledge of the local language, so you can immediately immerse yourself into a new culture. It helps you buy groceries, find places to eat and socialize, seek directions and help when needed, and purchase goods and services with better ease. It offers you a better chance to engage with the locals, make better relations with your new professors and fellow students – even make local friends from the start!
What Learn a Second (or Third) Language?
Learning a language requires continual practice and repetition. The Rosetta Stone Language Library wants to help you get the most out of your language studies so that you can reach your communication goals. Below you can find some language-learning tips and best practices to help ensure that you’re maximizing your experience with Rosetta Stone:

Don’t forget to use a USB headset. This is important because completing your lessons using the correct headset will ensure that you get the best feedback on your speaking skills.

Practice a little bit every day! We recommend spending 30 minutes in Rosetta Stone® every day to keep everything you’re learning fresh in your mind.

Schedule practice time on your calendar. This will help you remember to get in those 30 minutes, and ensure that learning with Rosetta Stone® becomes a part of your daily routine.

Don’t be afraid to repeat (and come back later to) previous sessions and levels; it can only help to instill what you learned

Find a language partner in your organization or in your community. Learn and practice your new vocabulary together.

Immerse yourself in your new language. Look for opportunities to practice your language skills outside of your Rosetta Stone® program. This could be listening to music or the news in your new language, reading articles, or watching movies. Full immersion is the key!

Utilize our mobile companion. When you’re on the go and can’t access your computer, use our Rosetta Course™ mobile app for iPad® to keep up with your learning.
Is there a cost?
No. Our Rosetta Stone Language Library is free of charge. However, you will need to provide your own headset with microphone.
How long can I sign out a language set?
Your language set is available for up-to a four-week period, expiring at the end of each month. You may re-borrow a language set for the following month, provided there isn’t a prior registrant on the waiting list.
